09:00 Party at Oktoberfest
Welcome to the city of art and beer. Quench your thirst with the first of the many mugs of beer that you would be drinking in Munich at the massive open space area known as Theresienwiese. Stroll into any of the mega make-shift wooden tents and be astounded by how beautifully decorated the interior is. Together with your new friends, be seated at the long communal table and place your drinks order.
Tip: Sometimes you might have to queue to enter a tent. We suggest playing card games with your new friends while waiting, and perhaps have a raincoat with you in case of wet weather. If the tents are crowded, you might not be allowed to re-enter the tent once you leave, so stay till you are ready before moving on to the next spot.
As this is one of the biggest traditional festivals of the year, many attendees will be dressed in costumes. To get in the festive mood, why not consider getting a cheap dirndl or lederhosen for an authentic experience? You can also keep these costumes as souvenirs after the Oktoberfest!
Look out for the lively Bavarian oompah music performed live in the tents as revellers toast, cheer and sway to the catchy beats. If you are feeling hungry, be assured that you can order food in the beer tents too. This is the perfect chance for you to try some famous local Bavarian dishes, such as roasted pork knuckle, sauerkraut, pretzels and sausages.
Take a break from the festivity and enjoy some of the amusement rides near the beer tents. From extreme roller-coasters for the adrenaline junkies to the massive ferris wheel for a panorama of Munich, you will be surprised at all the fun activities available.
Evening Bus back to camp site & Check in at Camp
The party does not have to end early. Continue your Oktoberfest fun back at the campsite with your travel mates and get to know other new friends who are also staying at thecamp. We will check in at the campsite, locate your personal tent. If you wish to stay longer at the Oktoberfest instead of joining the bus ride back to camp, you are welcome to do so!
Some must-see landmarks in Munich include: Marienplatz, Englischer Garten, Nymphenburg Palace, Munich Residenz and BMW museum.
Check out and breakfast time
Check out is between 08:00 and 11:00. Please ensure you clean your tent before checking out. You can then store your luggage in the bus because we will not be coming back to the camp during departure time.

You might be interested in seeing the historical part of Munich. Venture to the Altstadt, which is the Old Town, and you will be enchanted by the impressive Gothic and Baroque architecture found everywhere. Admire the grandiose of the main square known as Marienplatz and take in the beautiful gem standing in the middle of the square, the neo-Gothic New Town Hall.
You can enter the historical beer halls located around the Old Town to continue your beer sampling with the locals. If you are interested in exploring museums, you can consider dropping by the Glyptothek to see ancient sculptures or visit the Deutsches Museum, the largest science and technology museum in the world. Automobile lovers, do not miss the BMW museum.
For another authentic experience of Oktoberfest, consider heading towards the Englischer Garten. You can also savour more beer as well as delicious local Bavarian dishes at this scenic public park.
