Itinerary for our Picture Perfect Strasbourg & Luxembourg Road Trip 16.05
Venture to the city wall and get a sense of how life used to be like in a forgotten era. At Chemin de la Corniche, the “most beautiful balcony of Europe”, you can take in a panorama of this age-old city. Spring is the season when flowers bloom, so you are guaranteed amazing photos at this vista point.
Experience the allure of Luxembourg as you stroll across centuries-old squares and cobbled alleys. Walk past the symbolic Grand Ducal Palace, listen for the bells tolling from the majestic Notre Dame cathedral, then visit the Grund district for a laid-back and bohemian vibe.
10:00 Depart for Strasbourg
After leaving Luxembourg, we will proceed to Strasbourg, the capital city of the Grand Est region in France.
The first monument you will see is the Strasbourg Cathedral, a Gothic masterpiece. From here, you can opt to go for lunch or roam around this storybook-like city on your own.
15:00 Optional guided tour
Go on a guided tour to discover the famous landmarks and hidden gems of Strasbourg. Visit the impressive Rohan Palace, take in the modern beauty of the gigantic European Parliament Building and certainly do not miss out on the postcard-perfect Petite France district.
For other fun activities, why not go on a cruise along the canals of this mesmerizing city? If being on the water does not appeal to you, then take a walk along the riverside with your travel companions instead, to soak in the idyllic vibe of Strasbourg. Cheese lovers, there are many interesting spots for you to sample delicious French cheese, and wine aficionados, do not pass on the opportunity to get to taste some quality French wines! If you are interested in art, this is the perfect time to visit the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, which houses an impressive collection that is ranked one of the best in France.
