The over 300 years old, former Russian capital city, should really be on everybody’s bucket list! And this not only due to the fact that about 15% of its buildings are listed as the UNESCO world heritage (only exceeded by Venice) but also because of its impressive history! Back in the days, it has been the ‘window to Europe’ (which is pretty much still) so you’ll have the chance to visit amazing museums telling about the moving history. Also the impressive Hermitage as one of the largest art museums of the world with the world famous winter palace as the residence of the Russian monarchs from 1732 to 1917.
Early evening we have prepared for you an optional boat cruise through St Petersburg so the beautiful city from the river 🙂
In the late evening we will head over to the train station to check in on our sleeping train which will bring us straight to the Russian capital city: breathtaking Moscow!
Furthermore, we have a great brochure prepared for you taking you through the Russian capital with amazing recommendations and some Russian phrases to help you get along 😉 In the evening we will meet up again to check in at our sleeper train which will take us back to beautiful St Petersburg! Certainly one of the best ways to travel in our opinion 🙂
We also have an optional excursion organized for you so that you will have the chance to visit not only one of the prettiest palaces in the world: Catherine’s palace but also breathtaking Peterhof Palace! If you think the western European palaces look full of gold and pomp, you definitely haven’t seen these places yet 🙂 A true experience into the Russia monarchy at its best!
Meeting up again in the afternoon so that our shuttle bus can take us back to the port from where our ship will bring us safely over the Baltic Sea to our next stop: Tallinn. Enjoy the cruise 🙂

Follow our Wanderlust brochure’s suggestions through the city, get lost in its small medieval streets and get a sense of Tallinn’s rich culture. In the evening, we will meet up again at the harbor to go on one last cruise over the Baltic sea with destination: Stockholm.
