The over 300 years old, former Russian capital city, should really be on everybody’s bucket list! And this not only due to the fact that about 15% of its buildings are listed as the UNESCO world heritage (only exceeded by Venice) but also because of its impressive history! Back in the days, it has been the ‘window to Europe’ (which is pretty much still) so you’ll have the chance to visit amazing museums telling about the moving history. Also the impressive Hermitage as one of the largest art museums of the world with the world famous winter palace as the residence of the Russian monarchs from 1732 to 1917.
Early evening we have prepared for you an optional boat cruise through St Petersburg so the beautiful city from the river 🙂 After that you will have some free time to get yourself some nice Russian dinner, maybe try a local Vodka or two ;). Settling in at our stylish, amazingly located city hostel for a good night sleep!
Enjoy your free time 🙂
Meeting up again in the afternoon so that our shuttle bus can take us back to the port from where our ship will bring us safely over the Baltic Sea to our next stop: Tallinn. Enjoy the cruise 🙂
Arriving in the morning to the Estonian capital: Tallinn! Yeah! Our favorite thing to do here is the one which you will probably already spot from our cruise ship! Tallinn’s famous city wall with its red spiked towers! When you think this looks great from downstairs, you should see the view from up there 🙂 Join our included guided city tour through the magical Estonian capital city! We do have a reservation at a medieval restaurant where we’ll be served amazing local food! We highly recommend you to join.
After that enjoy the view from up the city wall and get a feeling of how the medieval guards have felt when guarding the city in Tallinn’s wars! Follow our Wanderlust brochure’s suggestions through the city, get lost in its small medieval streets and get a sense of Tallinn’s rich culture. In the evening, we will meet up again at the harbor to go on one last cruise over the Baltic sea with destination: Stockholm.
